The “front” room, the “good room”, the one that was kept by the old Saxons for distinguished guests. Spacious and bright, its windows face the street and the inner courtyard. Those facing the street are fitted with wooden shutters. The room has a comfortable king-size bed, a table with two chairs and an old Saxon chest of drawers placed under a painted coat rack. You will also notice a few niches in the wall, discovered during the restoration of the house; one of them is hidden by a painted armoire. Heating is provided by a majolica-clad cast iron stove, assisted when necessary by a dual therm radiator mounted on the wall. The extremely comfortable Chesterfield armchair, the watchful doll from Iulia Schiopu’s painting, and the selection of books for all tastes complete the atmosphere. The private bathroom with bathtub is equipped with all the essential products: Rituals cosmetics, towels, hairdryer.
